Coming Home

Hey all,

Have you ever taken a long drive? To visit relatives or friends for vacation or for the weekend. Well I do, but it still feels nice to come home after a long time away from home and a long drive. Well that is my last blog and have a safe ride/drive home everyone. :)

Type of Car

How do you judge a car in terms of can you drive it? I know that my mom used to have a Hybrid car and I felt it was to sensative for me to drive. The new car is much better and I find it easier to drive. Yet, how can or do you judge what car is right for your type of driving? Or is there a differance at all to the type of car?

K-Turns

Urh, which way to turn the wheel. K-Turns are one of the worst parts of driving. It would take me two times until I got it right. And I still don't have it, though that is most likely due to the lack of pratice. Have any of you had trouble trying to get or master the K-Turn?

Breaking Down

What's going on? The car is pulled over the road with the engine dying. What happened? The car broke down. I remember last year when I was driving with my parents and the car just broke down on the high way. It was pretty scary and extrmely annoying at the time.

What about you guys? Have any of you broken down in the middle of a high way or somewhere?

Pot holes

Bang! Urh, another one of those pot holes! Over the last week, I was driving around and noticed all the pot holes in the road. My mom has even gotten me so nervous that I am constantly looking out for them. The threat of a flat tire is always on my mind when I hear that bang of the car. How mant times have any of you hit those annoying holes in the road?

Controling Speed

Has anyone else had trouble keeping a consistant speed while driving? For the life of me, I cannot keep one. I am either going to fast or to slow. Of all my driving that is the one I critize myself for the most since I can control that for the most part. So did any of you have trouble in trying to keep a consistant speed on the road?

Reverse

Urh, what is worse than going in reverse? I was in a Stop and Shop parking lot earlier this week and it took a while for me to pull out of the space. My dad even yelled at me for my slowness and turning the wheel the wrong way while going in reverse. Do any of you have any stories of trying to reverse or parelle park, since at some piont one most reverse to fit into the space properly?

Driving in nice weather

On Sunday, I went out driving and it was so nice. The sun was out and the words were dry, though some still narrow,  and the day was mildly warm. It was almost like the perfect driving conditions. Does anyone else agree? Did anyone go on long drives just to see the sun?

Turning corners

Over the last few weeks, I have been working on turning correctly. In order to enter into my nighborhood there is a "tough" turn which has taken me a few times to get correct. One day I decided to make the turn and I turned too fast and ended up on, what felt like, two wheels. The incident happened so fast that I felt like I no longer had control over the car. I was scared. How did you feel when you felt you had lost control of a car?

New ways of driving to the same location

Hi,

Yesterday I was driving home and my mom suggested a new way to go back home. Now, normally I stick to one routine or route so going another way was interesting. I'm not certain about anyone else, but as a kid I never really paid close attention to where and how I was being driven some place. And now I'm forced to concentrate and am finding new ways to get around a town and general area I've grown up in all my life which I find very interesting. Anyway, until next week I'm charmmal. :)

Driving a Car

Hi,

I'm a college student and yes I still don't know how to drive. I'm learning though (I have vision problems so it has taken longer) and I know it's unausal for me to admit. However, there are funny stories when learning to drive. I am sure many people have their own stories to tell when driving. So feel free to share them. One story I had just today was that I was driving and a truck took the turn to wide and ended up in my lane. I stopped and my pionted out that even excpericed drivers make mistakes and said I shouldn't make that mistake now. And what happened? You guessed it. At the next stop I did the exact same thing. :)
Driving is certainitly an experiance of mistakes turned into stories and I will have some stories for you soon. :) Until then safe driving everyone.
