Over the last few weeks, I have been working on turning correctly. In order to enter into my nighborhood there is a "tough" turn which has taken me a few times to get correct. One day I decided to make the turn and I turned too fast and ended up on, what felt like, two wheels. The incident happened so fast that I felt like I no longer had control over the car. I was scared. How did you feel when you felt you had lost control of a car?
On my way here, as I was just telling Olivia, that I skidded 6 times. My honda civic and I have gone through a lot these past 3 winters and I can say there were deffinitely times where I was on 2 wheels too and I agree- very scary.
ReplyDeleteI have crashed (written off) a Volvo, which included driving up a wall, falling on the side of the car and sliding down the road diagonally, showering sparks from the window frames. I didn't feel scared - just blank - it happened very quickly and I suppose I was in shock (I managed to damage myself in the process). Now, of course, I am the world's worst passenger and do LOTS of sympathy braking (and sharp indrawn breaths).
